      Utilizing skateboard components with softer urethane wheels mounted on an custom molded hardwood deck to sit on, riders enjoy an exhilirating downhill "flight" with ease. The Skateluge features intuitive handholds and calf support so the rider can sit upright, creating a comfortable and stable ride with an emphasis on safe recreation. The Skateluge rider's upright (sitting) position provides greater visibility, better view of the road ahead, awesome manuverability and better control. Skills vital to gravity sports such as street luge and buttboard can be developed with the Skateluge.

     The Skateluge was created during the 80's by Tim Novak as a result of his inability to master a skateboard on his feet. Still wanting to ride on his urethane, Tim found he was riding more and more sitting on his skateboard. Before long Tim was carving and bombing the hills on boards he built just for sitting. By the mid 90's, the Skateluge had become every weekends' recreation and soon Tim was building his Skateluges for everyone. In 1996, www.skateluge.com was launched and the Skateluge found its place in Gravity Sport history.
