Going downhill has never been such a BLAST. The Skateluge combines the excitement of the Street Luge with the fun of backyard sledding. Using skateboard components mounted on an custom molded hardwood deck, riders can enjoy an exhilirating downhill "flight" with ease.
The Skateluge features intuitive handholds and calf support so the rider can sit upright, creating a comfortable and stable ride with an emphasis on safe recreation. The Skateluge rider's upright (sitting) position provides greater visibility, better view of the road ahead, awesome manuverability and better control. Skills vital to gravity sports such as street luge and buttboard can be developed with the Skateluge.

The Skateluge was created during the 80's by Tim Novak as a result of his inability to master a skateboard on his feet. Still wanting to ride on his urethane, Tim found he was riding more and more sitting on his skateboard. Before long Tim was carving and bombing the hills on boards he built just for sitting. By the mid 90's, the Skateluge had become every weekends' recreation and soon Tim was building his Skateluge for everyone. In 1996, skateluge.com was launched and the Skateluge found its place in Gravity Sport history.
The Skateluge was designed for FUN. Anyone can ride a Skateluge. Grab a seat, find your "sweet spot" and go downhill. Simply lean in the direction you wanna go. Small hills, driveways and parking lots become your Gravity Playground. Racing, slalom, tag... invent your own way to play. With all the FREE gravity, you'll never run out of power.
Skateluge recommends you wear a helmet and gloves when you ride. Remember to choose your hills wisely: Do not ride on roads with traffic! Always ride safe so you can ride another day. Gravity Never Fails!
